Beautiful little "forest". Beware that it is heavily visited by tourists, so pretty much the entire forest paths are full people taking selfies. The forest itself took maybe 20 minutes to walk through. All the paths are paved, but some are a bit steep, so if you have a stroller/wheelchair expect some sweat! After the forest area there is a nice park area with some amazing views of the river from the observation points.

It's good to visit & please don't miss to stop by the attractions along the way & nearby. Keep walking further & follow the signage, you will meet an interesting & unexpectedly stunning places up to the mountains ( many fascinating temples in the mountains & lovely village & neighborhood along the way )

Arashiyama Bamboo Forest - The view is breathtaking. You walk through several paths lined with bamboo to reach a majestic temple with a fantastic view. It's a great experience, but it was quite cold, and there were a lot of people. I'd recommend going with a guide (I went without one) but relied on a YouTube video to guide me. However, I would recommend a guide since the temples are fascinating and have a lot of history.

Take my advice and come early for a chance to soak in the peace and capture some breathtaking shots before it gets packed with crowds. We got there at 8:00 and the peacefulness of the morning, combined with the stunning beauty of the bamboo, made for a truly memorable experience. There are various routes to take, and you can even hop on a man-pulled rickshaw for a unique experience.

An absolute must see in Kyoto. Forest is absolutely beautiful. Tall bamboo in every direction you look. The forest does get crowded, but forest is so large that you'll always have a great view. If you can, go early to beat all the tour buses. There's many different paths, so keep walking and you'll always find a great picture opportunity.
