Cool temple. Part of the Shingon sect. Dedicated to Fudo Myoo. Gochuin is available here

It was so beautiful and peaceful inside this shrine. It smelled so good with the burning incense and you can see where the monks hold religious ceremonies. I recommend going inside because you don't get many opportunities to look around Shrines this close without being a disturbance in Japan.

I beautiful shrine to explore! The inside walls and statues are so black with soot from wood being burned. It was very peaceful and enjoyable to just sit in the shrine and take in the surroundings. The silence was very pleasing and relaxing. Highly recommend exploring here when your on visiting Enoshima Island.

It is a great place to go for a one day trip, take water with you and a lot of energy to climb many stairs!
