Another good spot in Shiga! Not a big garden but it more than made up for its amazing calm atmosphere. Most are here for the reflective table which is definitely a plus. Don't overlook the well designed garden and lovely umbrella setting. Few tourists come here so this is a spot to chill!

Nice temple to see the autumn leaves. The temple isn’t as crowded as the ones in Kyoto city. We have some freedom relaxing and chilling there

This temple, located near the Hieizan Cable Station on the east side of Lake Biwa, is noted as a place worth visiting. The ancient Japanese garden is a wonderful artistic expression of three dimensional space. We can enjoy the changing seasons, including the "Snow-viewing lanterns". The fact that they are decorating the scenery of garden indicates that "Old Chikurin-In" should be visited in the winter when it snows. There is a teahouse nearby, so no shortage of food. Toilet available. Wheelchairs may be a bit difficult.

A hidden gem in Otsu area. Here you can visit the beautiful temple and its garden with a small fee. Inside the temple, they have prepared a table that reflects light which visitors can use it to take some beautiful photos.
