Hirobumi Ito's former residence

I wonder if Hirobumi Ito's mansion in Shinagawa was relocated there. The first prime minister of great accomplishments. There is a bronze statue, and it seems that he was surprisingly small. . . In the back of this area are Tokoji, the Mouri family temple, and nearby are the ruins of famous people who died in battle while helping their friends in Kyoto before the Meiji Restoration. Hagi has a lot to offer for fans of the Meiji Restoration. It's amazing that from such a small town, just a dozen or so students raised an army, overthrew the Shogunate, established the Meiji Restoration, and even founded and ruled Kindai Nihon. . .

The house itself had not much to see, however the museum next door had lot of concise information about Hirobumi’s success story. I wish there were more panels and explanations in English therefore the 4 star.

One of my favorite visits in Hagi, lovely Japanese House from one of the former Prime ministers of Japan. Our guide of the day was absolutely great, we got so many small anecdotes about the place, and he even took a sweet picture of me and my friend in the place were Hirobumi used to sit. Information mainly in Japanese but it's worth it even if you understand only a bit !

This is a great old Japanese house. The information about Hirobumi was mostly in Japanese, but the house and gardens were very nice when I visited.
