Snow was beautiful. I would think that cherry blossoms would make it even better. The observation deck felt like a lacklustre experience, but being on the ground with nature within the park itself felt like a once in a lifetime thing. A good place for tourists in general. Visit.

You can view the Hakodate from the top. There’s a historical map and coin telescope to zoom. It’s all white in winter and you can walking around in the Goryokaku Park

Great but very cold in winter. Good place to go for a walk. It is free to enter. It closes early.

It's a beautiful ecosystem of tower, park, magistrate office, and lovely structures. It's iconic historical and timeless. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Great restaurants, restrooms, a kimono 👘 guy who dressed men and women too. Cheers, ravi.

Very interesting fort and house. The Magistrate house was reconstructed in 2010, so visitors can experience how people lived at the end of the Edo period. The park is free to enter but there is a fee to enter the house, which at the time of writing was ¥500. The park itself is lovely but best visited in Spring.
