Dont go in weekend. T jam. Best drive road wit alfa romeo n train.. buses. Stay near near the lake n other 3 towns. U see the too many places go to the top cable car ice hill n tram. N museum piccaso. Eat early shop close by 6pm n some are in hotel restn.

I caught the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise during a day trip from Tokyo. It was the highlight of my visit to Hakone, and the ships really are a sight to behold. Although you don’t get the best view of Mt Fuji from the water, the excitement of being on such a large ship with the surrounding beauty of Lake Ashi more than makes up for it. It is not only a place to take a boat ride, but also a great place in good weather to observe a view worthy of the best painter's pencil. The eyes saw, the brain recorded - this is one of the most beautiful places seen. Fantastic!

Really fun experience, free with the Hakone day pass! The ship has abundant seating and cruises past the two torii gates on Lake Ashi with an excellent view of Mt. Fuji if traveling from the Motohakone to Togendai port.
