An old street lined with wooden Japanese restaurants, and shops and famous for sighting maikos or geishas. We saw 5-6 of them at different intervals beautifully made up and dressed.

A short street with old buildings. That's about it. Nothing much to do or see here. There are signs placed along the road that indicates photo taking is prohibited. A very unwelcoming gesture to any tourist. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of geishas but all I saw were tourists in kimonos. Perhaps a better time would be to come in the evening.

Beautiful old school and well preserved street. Seeing the visitors in Kimono makes the vibe even better. You will definitely have a wonderful time there.

Opposite of the Yasaka shrine, two walk path that is usually crowded by the locals and travellers. You will find a lot of food chains and plenty of outlets to spend your time. Street is busy and packed with crowd.
