It’s soooo beautiful if you love Mother Nature, it’s worth going. Not too much tourists maybe because you need to rent a car is you go there.

Walked past the temple and further up the road saw many beautiful shrines and it was exceptionally peaceful.

Very beautiful Sadly most shrines were closed and many needles covered the moss. Nonetheless it was beautiful and peaceful, well worth the way! Please don't be a stupid tourist like me and check warnings beforehand. Apparently there were bearsightings and one was not supposed to take the forest road up

Peaceful shrine complex, spreading deep into the forest. Peaceful stroll under the canopy of wonderful trees, along the mossy walkways.

One of my favorite shrines in Japan! It looks amazing here! The moss makes this place feel really magical. I would love to come here again during rain or when there is a lot of fog outside. It would make the atmosphere even better.
