Himurehachimangu Shrine is a beautiful traditional shrine located next to Hachimanyama Ropeway. It is one of the largest shrines in Ōmihachiman area. The shrine has a quiet atmosphere and it is a great place to visit if you want to experience Japanese culture and history.

Pretty shrine found at the base of the chair lift. Also has lots of parking at the front for free when it's a quiet day.

Large and beautiful shrine. It’s a nice stop on your way to or from the ropeways station. Fall leaves are nice here.

The Shrine is the largest shrine in Omihachiman, Shiga Prefecture It had a lot of history behind. It was first established by Takenouchi no Sukune in 131. It houses the God of War and attracted many warlords to visit and worship. Today, the Sagicho Fire Festival is held here every March. It's worth visiting.

Nice temple. Not sure of the significance, but many families with young toddler girls are here to pay respects. The little girls are all dressed up in traditional costumes. Pretty.
