Hiromine Shrine
52 Hiromineyama, Himeji, Hyogo 670-0891, Japan
Hiromine Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Himeji. It is one of the three main shrines of the Gion cult alongside Yasaka Shrine, and Tsushima Shrine. Until the Muromachi period the shrine was perceived as highly prestigious, on par with Kumano Taisha, but little remains of its past glory.

This historic shrine has a parking lot in front of the torii gate, 3.5 km from Himeji Racecourse, with the north-south road leading straight ahead.

I stopped by during a hike between Mt. Soui, Mt. Yataka and Mt. Hiromine. The majestic shrine building seemed to express the high level of formality of Hiromine Shrine. When I learned that I could pray to the Nine Stars of Onmyodo, I wrote a wish and put it into the hole of the Seven Red Gold Stars. It's a historical shrine, so I think it's worth visiting.

Fine, but need to climb up countless stairs. It was so tiring. How much more during summer lol
