In winter season they cover the tree to protect it. But it was magical anyway🥺🌸

Classic sport to visit while in Morioka. Beautiful when in bloom

This is the one of the most popular landmark in Morioka. This fastinating cherry tree can survive and grow by splitting granite rock for more than 400 years.

Incredibly beautiful tree, when its in full bloom it really has a magical look to it, very heavy on tourism though which can make it a little hard to get a good picture, though if you're visiting Morioka than this place is worth a visit for sure.

The Rock Splitting Cherry tree is a national treasure. It's one of the first cherry trees to bloom in Morioka. It's absolutely beautiful at this time of year. A must see if you're in Morioka's, any time of year
