There was a nice temporary exhibit on the history of Japanese animation. Had a nice time!

This art gallery currently has an excellent temporary exhibition on the career of animator Takahata Isao. The permanent exhibition is also well worth visiting, and it has a focus on modern works.

A transcendental building with haunting architecture. Incredibly worth going and wandering the massive halls. The exhibitions are usually top quality and the ambience is perfect. Just wish there was more unique art in the permanent collection.

We saw a great temporal exhibition on Finish design, did not enjoy the permanent collection that much. Pannels are Japanese only. Kids need to be taken by the hand, a policy that is politely but constantly enforced and made the visit much less enjoyable for our kids.

We came here at a very quiet time. It’s a spacious museum, the interior architect was amazing. There were various exhibitions going on, worth spending an hour or two to explore and enjoy the arts. However please mind the bus timetables and plan ahead. No photo taking is allowed inside.
