Good half a day trip. Just make sure you arrive before 3pm if you don’t want to miss their last performance. Like always, animals in captivity isn’t the best. Just need reminder children that these isn’t natural but if could be many reasons why the animals end up here.

If you have the choice, this aquarium is better than the one in Niigata! It’s not very large, but you can spend a couple hours here - it’s very comfortable and homely. I did not get to see the dolphin show, but caught a glimpse of the trainers training the dolphins. The dolphin arena is on the 3rd floor and overlooks the Sea of Japan. It’s really quite beautiful. The star of the show is definitely the main fish tank. The aquarium is a 10 minute walk from the Naoetsu train station, which is a few stops away from the Joetsumyoko station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen. You will need to transfer onto the local train line, or just take a taxi from Joetsumyoko. If you have some time to spare, this is a good place to visit!

Great place for the kids to learn about and interact with sealife. 🐟 🐠 🐙 🦑 It was a good family activity. We have two kids under 3 years old. They enjoyed feeding the fish and penguins. And we all loved the dolphins 🐬 ❤️ There is plenty of parking and the price is reasonable. 🚗 💰

Small aquarium but lots of fun. Definitely a good place to take kids. The aquarium itself is absolutely great as well as the view of the ocean in front of the aquarium is so fantastic. JPY1,500 for adult is commensurate with the contents of the aquarium. Free car parking lot is available, No.1 and No.2 car park are close by, but it takes about several minutes from No.3. Almost all credit cards, electronic money, and QR code payments are accepted.

This place is small compared to other aquarium in the cities. But the central big aquarium is very beautiful. There are not many species of fish there and only one species of penguin which is small in size. Dolphin show is there in every hour. The stuff are very nice and helpful.
