This beautiful, family-centric shrine is incredible from the entrance all the way through. It also has some unique talismans for climbers as well as families. Must see if in or around the area.

This spot is absolutely tranquil and beautiful in every way, with everything poised for a perfect crisp winter picture. Sunlight gleams through from all directions, illuminating trees, including one that's 100 years old and another believed to be over 1000 years old. The quiet, respectful calm on a snow-covered day feels like an otherworldly experience, especially in contrast to the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. It's a delight and a must-visit if you're in the area.

Beautiful Shrine that dates back to the early 1600s. This Shrine was one of the original starting points of one of the trails up to the top of Mount Fuji. The trees, rocks, etc. with cord tied around them are extremely old and have been deified. I highly recommend a visit, even in the winter it is beautiful!

Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine is a beautiful and peaceful Shinto shrine complex located at the base of Mount Fuji in Fujiyoshida, Japan. I had the pleasure of visiting this shrine recently, and I was very impressed by its beauty and tranquility. The shrine is surrounded by a dense forest of ancient cedar trees, which creates a very serene atmosphere. As I walked through the forest, I could feel the stress and worries of everyday life melting away. The shrine itself is a series of interconnected wooden buildings and stone paths. The main shrine building is very colorful and ornate, and it houses a number of important religious artifacts. I highly recommend visiting Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine to anyone who is interested in Japanese culture or who simply wants to experience a peaceful and beautiful place. The ancient cedar forest surrounding the shrine is truly magical. The shrine buildings are very colorful and ornate, and they offer a fascinating glimpse into Japanese Shinto culture Overall, I had a wonderful time visiting Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine. It's a truly special place, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Fujiyoshida area.

This is a Shinto shrine for worshipping Shinto deity associated with Mount Fuji named Konohanasakuya. It is inside a deep forest which is situated at the north of Mount Fuji. This can be considered a gateway to Fuji. There are parking and toilet facility at the site. The shrine is beautiful. Its wooden structures are beautifully decorated. It is also a UNESCO Heritage Site. The shrine is almost 2,000 years old, but the structures that are prominent day was built around 1615.
