A beautiful and quiet temple. I didn't expect it to be so big! There are two places to eat, and a gift shop selling local fruits and other foods.

Ancient (8th Century, rebuilt 18th Century) temple complex about 1 hour’s drive from Wakayama City… especially beautiful in Sakura!

A Buddhist temple and Shinto shrine on the same ground. It's very beautiful in April. Some very big old Sakura trees there.

The main building is bigger and more beautiful than I’ve expected. It will be appreciated if there are more toilets there.

You would enjoy visiting this temple during the winter. Don't forget to ring the giant bell for a more legit feel.
