I went to the Shinsuke Yoshitake exhibition. It was quite a success. There are signposts everywhere that will make you laugh. Both children and young people seemed to be having fun.

At the Shinsuke Yoshitake exhibition. Parking lot full. Very crowded inside too. The exhibit was good. The spirit of the museum as a host is palpable. The price of the goods is unreasonable. The pottery and haniwa in the permanent exhibition are also really nice.

Located in the lush Utsubuki Park, there were exhibits mainly consisting of art, archeology, and folklore (history and folklore museum). In terms of art, the works of Hikimichi Osaka, a Living National Treasure who was also involved in replicating the Shosoin Treasures, were wonderful. Also on display are works by Kanji Maeda and Tatehiko Suga, two artists from Kurayoshi. The archeology was a general exhibit, but important cultural properties such as pots with komochi were also on display. In the folklore section, there was a good collection of Kurayoshi's characteristics, such as the weed remover ``Taichiguruma'' and ``Thousand Tooth Handling'', and in the casting section, we learned about rotating wooden molds used to make molds for temple bells. I'm forgetful, so I would have given it a 5 star if photos were allowed except for the art department.

I went to the ``Hoki Museum Masterpieces Exhibition'' currently being held. I was able to meet some wonderful works 😄 The cherry blossoms around the venue that were starting to fall were also beautiful🌸.

Akemi Abe's doll works are currently on display at the 2020 Tottori Prefecture Cultural Merit Award Commemorative Traveling Exhibition. Until January 19th. For the Showa generation, it is full of nostalgic scenes, family interactions, and warmth. Please come and see it.
