Although I felt like they were putting a lot of effort into sightseeing, there wasn't much to see and I was done sightseeing within 2 hours.
After arriving by ferry, we took a bus for 800 yen round trip and went to Onigashima Cave. I wasn't impressed by the art works here, and I thought it was just a fantasy world, with an exhibition that combined the legend of Onigashima with a cave built by people over many years. The view from the observation deck nearby is spectacular, so I think it's a good idea to come for that purpose.
Other than that, sightseeing was complete after seeing the beautiful beach near the port and a few art works by the port.
I felt like there was no repeat.
This island houses a mountain that is rather high. YES RATHER HIGH. I warned you. Do NOT rent a bicycle; you ABSOLUTELY CANNOT ride it up to the top, you may be able to drag it up and then ride it on your way down, but the scenery is great so you might as well enjoy your walk if you are a tourist(and went through all the trouble to come here AND climb the mountain).
Alternatively you could get a motorcycle if you live in Takamatsu and come here from time to time for a picnic. But for that the island is a bit small.
This is the famous site of the Momotaro legend of Japan and on the top there is the cave of the Oni. Not exactly an attraction but might help you enjoy the island... in summer, especially. It's really cool in the cave(I think it's air conditioned).

I visited here to see Setouchi Triennale 2022. A very small island to see around. I had little bit difficulty to find dining.
