Didn’t see any deers. Temple grounds are quite small. Many booths selling food and souvenirs though not all were open in winter (January).

Autumn time is probably not the most scenic time to visit. Did not see any deers upon visit. However, you can tell that the place has many cherry blossom making it a scenic place to visit during the spring and summer. The large temple grounds was well kept and felt peaceful

We were there today. Amazing sacred space. Cherry blossoms were so pretty lining the pathways. It was an almost 70F spring like day in Japan. We were married here in 2015 and today brought our daughter to be blessed by the Shinto Priest. Was a beautiful sacred day.
