A 3-meter-head of a colossal Buddha is enshrined inside of the temple. The beautiful walls surrounding this temple are of note as well. It is believed that this monolith answers prayers relating to the head and mind, such as academic achievement and speedy recovery from head maladies. Many students are wishing to do well on school exams visit this temple to pray.

It was a beautiful temple. The pine trees in the garden are beautiful. Of course, the famous Great Buddha statue is also magnificent.

I visited on October 21, 2021. This place is known as the ``Temple of the Great Buddha''. When you enter the Sanmon gate, you will see the Great Buddha on your left. The precincts are not large. The goshuin was in a can due to the coronavirus.

In the precincts, there is a large Buddha statue with only a head (Kubi Daibutsu), which is about 3 meters high. It is said to grant wishes from the neck up and is popular among students taking entrance exams. The precincts were well maintained and very beautiful with a slight scent. If you have a chance to visit Wakayama Castle, which is about a 10-minute walk from Oka Park, it's a good idea to take a trip.
