This is a beautiful , lonely and peaceful place. Go there for worship and to have a few from the top of the city and seashore .

Beautiful old Buddhist temple not far from Enoshima station. The view from the top is absolutely stunning - one side you can see the sparkling ocean, the other side the city. On a clear day you can also get a great view of Fuji-san. There are different levels you can walk up to see the temple, pagoda, cemetery and large gold Buddha. Definitely worth a visit if you like temples and shrines.

Absolutely beautiful Nichiren temple with a pagoda and a statue of the Buddha donated from India. Buddhist monk and order founder Nichiren was to be put to death by the Kamakura shogunate when lightning saved him, and one of his disciples later build a temple on the spot in 1337. They do a fantastic bamboo lantern lightup the first weekend of August with over 5000 bamboo lanterns. It is conveniently located next to the bus stop and only a short walk from the monorail and Enoden Station.
