What a beautiful shrine this is. The setting makes it extra special and peaceful. In the surroundings you will find 2 noteworthy museums, one with the miniatures of the Nikko shrines and temples and another with the floats used in the Matsuri festival!

I went there at sunset as I was cycling in that area. The evening time really changes its perspective, you can feel a different aura around it and the sound of the surrounding nature. The naturalistic location makes it very attractive.

Love it here. Somehow very peaceful. You will see the white shrines nearby the river, walk that way for 400 metres and walk up the stairs. Enjoy the view! It would be lovely if you come here before the sun sets.

I decided to pursue going to this holy place even when it's about 5pm or 6pm. We went there, 8t was already closed. It was so quiet but you'd never feel scared. I felt a serene ambiance in a cold almost night feeling. It was magical. Those temples are quietly looking at us. I shared a small prayer, took some photographs and left. How I wished I went there when it was still open. Maybe I'd come back again. 😊

Very peaceful and serene. It's located at the bottom of the hill and surrounded by woods. You can walk around the place and climb up the hill, there are a few pathways and shrines here & there. The views from these paths are amazing.
