Located just one station next to the Sapporo JR terminal, I was impressed by this historical facility’s free yet high-quality exhibition to visitors even though I was not fortunate enough to get a place in the guided tour. The exhibition closely linked the development of the brand with the development of the current urban Sapporo, as well as the life of Japanese in old days. Particularly, they mentioned how the beer production techniques advanced throughout the decades for a better taste. The beer tasting hall was grand and cozy.

To experience the best tour get get the premium pass. I wanted to eat there but we have a reservation to another restaurant because the food looks good. The beer tasting is a nice experience i love it. Also its easy to go there thru bus, train , taxi or private cars.

Definitely a good place to visit in Sapporo. I recommend trying the beer tasting set (1.000 yen). After visiting the museum, a stop to eat lunch at the Beer garden is a must. They have different options of Genghis Khan, a traditional Hokkaido dish. There is an all you can drink option for 2.000 yen. Recommend having a reservation in advance.

Came here by bus. Learned from Google there's a dedicated bus to this museum for ¥210 only. Arrived before it was opened at 11am. Went for a self tour which is free. The guided one is chargeable. Easy to navigate the history of how Sapporo Beer grew to where it is today and how it part of Sapporo city growth story. Though the displays are in Japanese, there are cards which translates it to other languages, including English. Worth the time spent here. At the end of it, we get to try 3 of Sapporo's top beers. ¥1000 for a set of 3 glasses of 240ml. The beer hall is packed. Looks like there are a lot of Sapporo Beer fans here😀

Interesting place to visit for people who likes Sapporo Beer! It is one of the must-see attraction means that it is crowded with tourists. Went on the self-guided free tour, there are exhibition panels which tells you the history of Sapporo beer. The exhibition panels all in Japanese, but there are some self-help materials for you to read, available in 3 languages (English, simplified Chinese and Korean). After understanding the history, it is time to taste the beer. There are 3 kinds of beer available for purchase, and there is the tasting set, which gives you 200ml per beer. Due to the number of tourists there, it is not easy to find a seat. But there are stand up options if you do not mind. They recommend that you do not sit there for more than 30 mins so that others can get to sit down. There is a small souvenir shop near the exit. You can get T shirts or tote bags there. Overall, the whole visit took about an hour to understand historical development of Sapporo beer and also doing the tasting
