Honmachi street
3 Chome-5 Shimoyoshida, Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi 403-0004, Japan
This street runs through the center of Fujiyoshida, is the road that connects both the city and Mt.Fuji. This street has become a hot spot on social media for seeing Mt.Fuji. Mt.Fuji, seen from behind the tasteful signs boards and lanterns which decollate there shops along the street, and the miscellaneous electric wires that cross the street, is a one of a kind view that can only be seen here.

This is one of busiest and crowded Instagram spot with Fuji-San. Hence, there is some staffs who come and control the crossing path lately. Free parking is next to FabCafe. By the way, FabCafe may not open everyday so it may be difficult to find a spot to sit & relax.

The popular place for a camera shot, if you're lucky. However please be mindful of the people working, living and even driving by... We were unfortunately unlucky to not see much here as most stores we closed. However if they were opened they offered some interesting homemade product and wares. Its nice street to walk down, that's about it.

Finally I was here... It feels so great to see that scene on the Internet and in my dream too... I do agree that please don't stand on the road to take pictures. It is againt the law and most importantly very dangerous and disrespectful too. This main road is very long, if you go down a bit further towards the mountain, there is no crowd at all and you can take photos in peace.

Very beautiful place for sighting Mount Fuji in this infamous location. But be careful of the traffic and support the local people there by eating in local food and street vendors/shops. No tickets or anything, be aware of people who sell tickets.

While I understand the reason why many queued to snap a larger than life Fujisan looming at the end of a photogenic street, if you happen to join the crowd, do observe road safety. I pity the Japanese uncle having to scream all the time to tell people to observe road safety while clicking pics. Also, do explore areas parallel to this Main Street, they make good photo spots too.
