Interesting place to visit to find out more about the floats and the process behind the construction from design to building it. Pretty stunning. There is a good video being shown at the start of the exhibition showing the process throughout the seasons.

Very impressive TachiNeputa museum. There’s an art gallery on second floor within the building but at a different section. Tickets can be purchased at the main counter, for cheaper price (TachiNeputa and Art Gallery combo). Third floor is a spacious zone with people working on the following year’s Neputa. Forth and fifth floor are learning/ activity zones or some sort, where you can pay to make your own gold fish lantern(?). Sixth floor is an observation deck and restaurant.

3 incredibly detailed 23m 19+ ton Neputa Festival Floats are on display with a spiraling pathway filled with the history of the Festivals over the years.

This place may look pretty unassuming on the outside, but the inside is absolutely stunning. This is where they keep the floats for the annual Nebuta festival. It's amazing to learn the history of the floats, how they're built, and the meaning behind it all. They also have an art gallery on the 2nd floor, which was very tame compared to the regular museum. Id say skip the art gallery unless you need to kill time or something.

Absolutely amazing festival "floats" (really 20m tall statues on wheels), worth the detour to Goshogawara to visit. Seriously impressive and the museum is well designed to allow visitors to appreciate the art. About a 6min walk from the train station.
