Came here because it was near the Buddha and wanted to go adventuring. The fountain part of the park was very beautiful with huge carp in the water. It was very peaceful and not crowded. Barely any English is that bothers you, but you don't need to read to enjoy the tranquility.

This incredibly beautiful park, is only a few minutes walk from the famous Takaoka Daibutsu (Great Buddha) and is both free, and open 24 hours. It was once the site of the Takaoka Castle however there is almost no evidence of the castle remaining. It is most definately worth a visit.

It is a bit puzzling that there aren't many people here, it is such a nice garden. You will find a shrine and can buy souvenirs. If you bring bread, you can feed large koi fish and cute turtles.
