Jinja Shrine has a long history near Wakaura. The view from Kagamiyama on the southwest side of the shrine is also beautiful. I think it would be a good idea to visit it together with the nearby Shiogama Shrine.

From the side of the shrine, you can climb the mountain that rises behind the shrine. The view from the top of the mountain was great. There were many highlights such as the Ono Komachi Sodekake fence and the Neagari pine tree.

Small shrine complex, with construction underway at the time of writing (August 2023). Usually the stairs up to the elevated shrine would be open, but seems it’s currently being renovated.
