When coming, don’t follow Google Maps to go directly to the trailhead. You can park in a nearby park or at Nengren Temple. If you only go to the top of Tianlan Mountain, it is very fast, only 15 minutes. The scenery is so-so, considering that it only takes 15 minutes to climb the mountain, it is acceptable
Mt. Tenran itself is very low at 197m and can be climbed quickly. Combined with the climb of Tamineshuyama (271m), the route can be enhanced with sights such as Japanese pampas grass and the Amagoi Pond. There are no teahouses or vending machines, and it is recommended to purchase a light meal for lunch in advance at a lunch box shop or bakery (Ise-ya, Eikoku-ya, etc.) located near Hanno Station.
In December 2023, I couldn't climb a mountain because my knee hurt, but I climbed it for the first time in 4 months!
I have climbed quite a few low mountains in Hanno, but this was my first time seeing Mt. Fuji.
I went on a weekday in mid-December.
From the Hanno Central Park parking lot, we took the approach to Noninji Temple and climbed the middle part of Mt. Tenran.
The summit is about 5 minutes up the wooden steps from the middle of Mt. Tenran, so I think it's an easy mountain to climb.
If that's not enough, I think it would be fun to aim for Mt.

A good place for a short hike up with nice panoramic views of Hannō and Mount Fuji to the south on a good day. Fall foliage is spectacular in season!
