Nice museum here at Mito, Ibaraki. I bought a ticket for ¥1000 which includes viewing their permanent collection and the special collections as well. If you choose only the permanent collections, it will ¥320 only. The paintings are not that too many actually but the space of the museum is really wide.

Very good local prefectural art museum. Old building with a range of pieces across the ages. Some surprises within the collection, including several from Van Gogh, a Renoir, and a Rodin sculpture. Rotating special exhibition, currently on the theme of agriculture (July to September 2023).
