If you like Tora-san, then this is a must. Filled with atmosphere and interactive displays. It was renovated a few years ago, and it looks very up to date and nice. Easy to walk through and enjoy, although there are not a lot of English explanations.

I never watched any Tora-san’s film but I’d read something about it in a tour guide. As I like to visit local and less touristy spots I decided to go and I was not disappointed. The museum is not big, but cute. The presentation of the cinematic adventures of Tora-san is very lively and fun. It made me want to watch the films. The museum staff is adorable and very helpful. I had a great experience at Tora-san Museum! There’s also a nice café where you can enjoy coffees and pastries. The only weak point is its location, quite far from the rest of the attractions, but there’s a lovely and peaceful shinto shrine nearby that is worth the visit too. Not to mention Tora-san’s statue next to the station that is a local attraction.

I'm a foreigner and do not know this person before. But the museum do an excellent job. All rooms have things would attract me very much, light and sound are perfected. I'm so enjoyed learning his biography from beginning till the end. There is a cafe to stop by and take rest in the same theme of the museum. The ticket is required and able to buy at the entrance.

Be warned, there is no English on the exhibits, but I didn’t care and loved this museum. Tora San is a national treasure in Japan and you will understand how much he is loved.
