Nice small castle with unique stony pond. There is historical museum inside the castle and also observational deck. Ticket price is approx 200-300yens/person.

I happened to chance upon a number of cranes resting near the trees at this castle park and was amazed there’s this particular one which stood in the middle of the pond for awhile despite my presence. It appears that the pond and the trees near this castle park has inspired me and sparked my passion to brush some paintings out of these photos.

We came here in mid April and unfortunately the sakuras were long gone. However the castle is very scenic. We saw some nice tulips planted on the outside of the castle and took some nice photos here. The area was not touristy and was very quiet. We enjoyed the peace and breeze exploring around.

Pleasant small park grounds, with a few museums dotted on the periphery, including the castle museum. Nice views of a bridge and it’s reflection on the north side of the park.

A very scenic area in the heart of Toyama. Definitely worth taking a stroll through just to unwind or take some pretty pictures. There is also two museums, though I only visited one. One is a reconstruction of the old Toyama castle.
