Absolutely beautiful. One the most beautiful shrines I've ever been to!

The shrine is surrounded by the enormous trees of a thick lush forest, high in the mountainous region. This shrine is dedicated to the god of guidance, courage, strength and righteousness, Sarutahiko No Okami and there are six main shrines within the complex. The place is very beautiful and not so many tourists as might be expected. Don't need a lot of time to get a feel for the place.

An awesome mountain full of beautiful scenery. You can expect 3 types of terrain Forest of Sugi trees with zig-zagged paths Sharp climbs Beautiful field of brown grass and flowers up top. 3.5hrs to the top (上る時間が3.5時間) 1.5hrs back down (降る時間が1.5時間) There is a rest area 1.5km from the top. No water resources around so coming prepared with water is recommended. Good luck on your adventure!
