1. Kamakura is a peaceful town perfect for a history-filled walk, which is located some 50km southwest of Tokyo about one hour away by train, geographically surrounded by hills on three sides and facing a sea like natural fortress.​ 2. We meet at Kamakura JR station East Gate at 9:00am, then we get on bus to meet Kamakura Great Buddha. Let’s learn why Samurai warriors come up this place along with many Buddhism temples as tradition in Japanese history.​ 3. Then walk to see one of the largest wooden statues in Japan at Hasedera Temple , which was built in 736. Hasedera is famous for a lot of Buddha statues. Let’s learn what is Buddhism in Japan.​ 4. Get back to Kamakura sta. by a nostalgic old-fashioned train, Enoden. Let’s learn Japan food culture​ 5. Visit Engakuji Temple for joining ZEN Meditation practice. ZEN Meditation practice is held by Engakuji ZEN Temple ONLY every Saturday and the 1st&3rd Sunday each one time. Transport, meal, temple entrance fee: ~JPY6000/person.

Reminders

  • Please arrive at the designated location 15 mins prior to departure, as the tour will be delayed and might increase the final time, resulting in extra fees by the guide.

  • Please arrive at the meeting place on time. If you are late for the meeting time, it will be regarded as voluntary abandonment, and there will be no refund or compensation.

  • Travelers who leave the tour group and withdraw from the tour activities after the tour activity has started cannot request a refund of the tour fee.

  • If the traffic conditions are relatively congested, the return time may be delayed. Depending on the road conditions on the day, the departure time and route of each sightseeing location may be adjusted.

  • No refund will be given for changes in the itinerary and cancellation of attractions due to force majeure factors such as traffic and weather.

  • Infants under the age of 3 who do not occupy a seat do not need to be added. One adult can bring one infant under the age of 3.
