Shigenobu Okuma, twice prime minister of Japan and founder of Waseda University, was born in Saga. At Kaishokoji in Saga city (modern day Mizugae), where Shigenobu spent his childhood, there is a cluster of grand residences once lived in by the retainers of the Saga Domain, and rows of storehouses and wholesalers along the river. Kaishokoji gets its name from the fact that public officials and merchants used the alleyway (koji) as a meeting place (kaisho). In a corner of this area is the samurai-style home where Shigenobu was born. There are only a small number of samurai residences built in the Tenpo Period (1830-1844) which remain standing today, and these old residences are a category of Japan's historic sites.

大隈重信記念館

1927년 준공의 와세다대학의 상징. 2007년에는 중요문화재로 지정된 외, 각국 정상의 강연이 개최된 역사적 장소이기도 합니다.
7층짜리 시계탑에는 미국 볼티모어로 만들어진 종이 설치되어 있어 지금도 하루에 6회 그 음색을 연주하고 있습니다.
최초의 원프레이즈를 제외하고, 이른바 학교의 차임과 닮아 있어, 이 종의 소리가 발상일지도 모릅니다.

2024년 2월 28일(수)에 촬영. 도시의 사립 대학의 건축물은 훌륭합니다. 지방의 국공립대학교는 반드시 그런 것은 아니다. 집금력의 차이일까요? 그런데 촬영 중 내 뒤에 경비의 아저씨가 서있었습니다. 단지 그것만으로는, 특히 뭔가 지적을 받지 않습니다. JR 고엔지역 근처에 있는 「고엔지」와는 호대조입니다.
