Great park and seeing such a big building in person and the stonework surrounding was amazing. Gardens free, ticket to see inside castle but we didn't go in as line was very long. Didn't feel it was necessary to go inside. Amazing viewing from outside.

Most impressive moated castle I’ve ever seen. Massive thick stones used to build high wall fortifications in numerous layers. Entire wall length for all circumferences equates to 7 miles. ¥600 entry, let’s you read English descriptions of well, laid out history for the building, and subsequent further takeover and new ownership of the castle over centuries. Plus how in Japan was unified after its days as feudal regions.

The park is beautiful. We love that there are plenty of rest areas and restrooms. You can spend all day in the park. The museum at the castle is ok. It has some really interesting history of the castle.

Very big and spectacularly castle. Beautiful scenery and area to hangout outside. Inside you won’t experience authentic vibe but there is very nice museum explaining history of the castle so definitely worth to see.

Osaka castle is a really great landmark to visit when in Osaka. I went in the morning which worked out great for lines. Tickets are not hard to purchase through a machine on site. You can take the elevator and stairs through multiple floors of the castle and read a lot about the near by history of the area. The top floor has a great panoramic view of the surrounding city which is beautiful. The castle itself has a gift shop and a stamp to stamp your note book.
