The castle itself isn’t big but definitely located in extraordinary location which is surrounded by nature. Inside the castle you can find all the information and history behind its destruction and reconstruction along with quite a great collection of swords, spears and other weapons as well as samurai armors mostly from the 17th - 18th century. The last floor is an observation deck which provides an astonishing view of the city/nature.

A replicated castle for tourism purpose. You may just want to drop by if you're visiting the neighborhood. Great view from the top window floor.

This a historic site, a museum, where you will see a little bit of Japan history. It's not the original castle. It was destroyed during a war and later reconstructed . It's amazing to see the types of swords and armors used at that time. Exhibition is small, but the experience is amazing. You reach the castle through a cable car to the top of the mountain but have the choice of walking down the mountain .

Fun hike up to the top of the hill where the castle sits. The castle itself is nice, interesting architecture, quite a few historical artifacts. Lots of swords and other local history related material to see. There is also a very interesting model of the kintai kyo and a model of the framing of the castle.

I feel sorry for the people that built the original castle. Its position is so high up. It has an incredible view of the surrounding area and the cable car up is very scenic. You can make your way up on foot but it would take a while. From the cable car there is an easy option and a more challenging option to access the castle. So many sword blades kept inside and don't forget to collect a stamp. Vending machines are available outside the castle and there is a nice rest area too.
